Organic Chemistry

Organic Chemistry faculty use a variety of synthetic and mechanistic approaches to promote our understanding of fundamental reaction processes that result in the creation of carbon compounds that are the basis of living systems.  Moreover, Organic Chemistry faculty aim to create new organic compounds that are of interest as biological ligands and in next-generation materials.
