Inorganic Chemistry
Inorganic chemists at KU employ a broad range of synthetic, physical/spectroscopic, and computational methods to address questions in the areas of coordination, supramolecular, organometallic, bioinorganic, and materials chemistry. Research themes encompass uncovering new reactivity profiles of metal-based compounds, molecular recognition, advancing mechanistic understanding of metalloenzyme function and catalysis, as well as developing nanomaterials for molecular electronics, photovoltaics and renewable energy applications.
