Connecting to a Multi-Function Device (MFD) from Windows

NOTE: This procedure will only work from a computer logged in to Active Directory, and only in MRB.  It is currently not possible to print from a wireless connection.

  1. Decide which printer you would like to connect to:
    • RGS-MRB322-KMC280 (room 320, third floor)
    • RGS-MRB222-KMC280 (room 220, second floor)
    • RGS-MRB1-KMC280 (first floor, south of lobby)
  2. Open My Computer (Windows Explorer)
  3. In the address bar, type in “\\pcutprd01.home.ku.edu\”
  4. Find the printer in the list of remote devices (they are in alphabetical order)
  5. Right click on the printer and select “connect” (be patient, this can take a few minutes)
  6. The printer should now be added to your devices and printers.
  7. Open devices and printers, right click on the MFD
  8. Select “Printer Preferences”
  9. Select the “Basic” tab
  10. Click on “Authentication/Account Track”
  11. Select “Recipient User”
  12. Type in username and password
  13. Click “Verify”
  14. A dialog box should appear indicating successful verification
  15. Select “OK”
  16. Click on “Apply
  17. Click on “OK”
  18. Close the “Printing Preferences” box
  19. You should be ready to print.
