Connecting to a Multi-Function Device (MFD) from Windows
NOTE: This procedure will only work from a computer logged in to Active Directory, and only in MRB. It is currently not possible to print from a wireless connection.
- Decide which printer you would like to connect to:
- RGS-MRB322-KMC280 (room 320, third floor)
- RGS-MRB222-KMC280 (room 220, second floor)
- RGS-MRB1-KMC280 (first floor, south of lobby)
- Open My Computer (Windows Explorer)
- In the address bar, type in “\\pcutprd01.home.ku.edu\”
- Find the printer in the list of remote devices (they are in alphabetical order)
- Right click on the printer and select “connect” (be patient, this can take a few minutes)
- The printer should now be added to your devices and printers.
- Open devices and printers, right click on the MFD
- Select “Printer Preferences”
- Select the “Basic” tab
- Click on “Authentication/Account Track”
- Select “Recipient User”
- Type in username and password
- Click “Verify”
- A dialog box should appear indicating successful verification
- Select “OK”
- Click on “Apply
- Click on “OK”
- Close the “Printing Preferences” box
- You should be ready to print.
