The Kansas ChemScholars Program

The Department of Chemistry has recently expanded our ChemScholars Program, which is now includes a $10,000 Kansas ChemScholars scholarship awarded in the senior-year for chemistry majors.

The Kansas ChemScholars Program is designed to recognize three outstanding senior Chemistry majors who are residents of Kansas. The program provides $10,000 to support senior year tuition, fees, and activities. Priority goes to eligible upper-level Bricker ChemScholars. Additional positions will be filled through this competitive application process. 


Selection Criteria:

  • Official Kansas Residency and qualified for in-state tuition
  • Pursuing BA or BS Chemistry degree
  • Senior year status and/or application to graduate
  • Overall KU grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 and a Chemistry major GPA of 3.5
  • Undergraduate research in Chemistry or closely related field during the senior year
