Molecule of the semester (MOS) is a biannual event where teams of graduate students and post-docs devise a synthetic route to a structurally intriguing, biologically significant molecule with an emphasis on new chemical methodolgy. One should consider the NIH grant guidelines while working on this project, e.g. what is the significance of ones approach? What new scientific innovation will one's work provide?
