Rachel Lane Wins Travel Award

Rachael Lane, a graduate student working under the supervision of Dr. Craig Adams (adjunct member of the chemistry faculty), has received a $1000 travel award to the 2013 American Water Works Association's Annual Conference and Exhibition (ACE13) in Denver, CO. Rachael's poster was presented at KU's 63rd Annual Environmental Engineering Conference and awarded best graduate student poster and selected as winner of KsAWWA's Young Professionals Poster Contest. The poster will be in ACE13's Fresh Ideas poster session and Rachael is also giving an oral presentation titled "Leaching of BPA and Related Compounds from Epoxy Coatings".
