The American Water Works Association held their Annual Conference and Exposition in Denver, CO, June 9-13. This conference offers water professionals a chance to network and stay informed on innovative technology and best practices for providing safe water. The AWWA held their annual student poster session, naming Rachael Lane as the Third Place winner for her poster entitled "Leaching of BPA and Related Compounds from Epoxy Coatings into Drinking Water". Rachael represented the Kansas Section of the AWWA and is a graduate student working under the supervision of Dr. Craig Adams (adjunct member of the chemistry faculty).
